When we don't feel secure we lose energy.The root chakra anchors itself to the Earth, when we are patient, resourceful, and hopeful about our lives we remain positive and open to possibilities that will strengthen this chakra

in a yoga class that i was instructing, a student could not feel her right foot anymore and was having trouble walking, at the end of class she asked me what i thought, it was her right foot which is the outside world moving forward i gave her some suggestions and asked her to fill her home with the smell of sandalwood. she informed me that she had lost the sense of smell which is the sense that goes with the grounding chakra. We worked through her issues with going forward after retirement, trusting in herself she gained back her smell and can walk easily.
