What are we doing with the sight we have?

I had a conversation with a man this week that has stayed with me, he was diagnosed with Parkinson disease five years ago. He told me that he just couldn't accept that he had the disease, he didnt even want to learn or read about it. Any thing he did read scared him and put him in futher denial. His wife did read about it accepted what was to be and felt very strongly that he should retire early so that they would have the next five years together before the disease turned for the worse. He told me he couldn't let go of his work, he couldn't accept what was," I wish I would of chose her and that time." He is only 50 he is losing his eye sight and much more. My heart hurt for him, I thought what am I doing and seeing with the sight I have, how am I living my life? What is truly important? We can only make good decisions when we are present, acceptance helps us be responsible and to let go of how we think things should be.

What to do when there is no DESIRE

I have been asked lately," What do you do when you have no desire to get on the mat or walk?"
Sometimes we have to trick ourselves or fake it until we make it.
Put the mat out, put your walking shoes on,thats all then see what happens, maybe the next day you can just sit on the mat and breathe deeply, maybe you could just walk to the mailbox. Everyday do a little more and soon you will be doing yoga and you will be walking.
Here are a few other tips:

Take a deep breath in through the nose to the count of 5, hold 5 & breathe out 5.
listen to nature, poetry and music.
Go a different way to work.
Join Pinterest and see beautiful places to go.
Invigorate yourself with the smell & taste of citrus.
Rub your body with a loofah brush then apply sesame oil, take a shower and turn the water from warm to cold, back and forth.
Eliminate dairy, meat, and sweets for a ittle while.
So first breathe, listen, see, smell, taste & touch.
Identify the problem, move it, release it.
Drink a quart of water to every 50 pounds.
Kindle a desire light a candle write your deepest desire.

Being Present

Being present, living now not in the past or future it is truly a gift. Practicing present moment awareness is one of the laws that govern the third chakra. We can only accept what is if we are present not wishing for things or people to be different. Through being present and accepting we can manifest the future through our deepest desires, our intentions.

Have you ever been with someone who showed up to be fully present? When you talk they are really listening they see you as though its been the first time every time. What a beautiful gift to give your self and others, show up, be present.

The Script of Life

It is getting time to plant new seeds into the ground, the ground is softening, ready to start something new, new hopes and dreams. The most powerful thing we have is attention, because it gives it value, whatever we put our attention on will grow stronger in our lives, whatever we take attention away from will wither, disintegrate and disapear.

Attention energizes, but intention transforms. We can water the seed with intentions, our intentions manifest our will, our will is our destiny, thus our script of life, we are the writer, be careful about your desires, make sure it is what you truly want, because it will be your destiny.

We can count on change

One day in San Diego; I was walking along the Beach at sunset; there were memories left from a day that had almost past. I could see where children had played in the sand making Sandcastles and trenches with sea shells. The water was washing the signs of the day away. Letting go of each day with the setting of the sun; recapitulating the memories of the day. Living in the present, is truly a gift; nothing stays the same, we can count on change; go with the flow enjoy the waves of the day; some are high; some are low, some throw you to the ground;some carry you; whichever ride your on; it will change.

What is it like to be in love?

You feel accepted and understood.
You feel seen and heard.
You feel complete, as if an invisible presence is filling you up.
You imagine that you can do anything, life has opened up to you.
You experience ecstasy in ordinary things: a glance, the touch of a hand.
You feel expanded, free.
For the first time you are not hiding from yourself, this is who you really are, your true self.
Falling in love is how real life is suppose to feel. We are peace, harmony, laughter and love. Be who you are when you are in love, that's what makes falling in love so beautiful, we see our true self for the first time. Just Be in Love.

Practice & Detachment

Thought patterns are mastered through practice and detachment.

In India they dye the cloth gold and then put it outside and expose it in the sun,  being out in the elements the cloth losses some of its color and so they bring it back inside and saturate the cloth in the gold dye again. Again the cloth is put out to dry and it loses some of its color but not as much as the first time, they repeat this process bringing the cloth in and saturating  the cloth in the gold dye and exposing  it to the elements until the cloth can withstand the elements and is bright with its  own color. Saturate and expose, go inside surrender saturate yourself, when you go outside into the world you will lose some of your gold then dip it again, saturate yourself.  With consistent practice you will see that the fruit of discipline is grace. Detachment takes practice through going inside with meditation surrender let go, repeat and in time you will see that you are gold.

Detaching

Detaching is always painful or uncomfortable whether it is from a person, food, location, job, belongings and addictions, but then it eases up, it gets easier with time. sometimes I see people being attached to their illness or the label they have been given, what is the pay off to stay connected to a condition or behavior?  Another part of detachment is doing good loving with no expectation of any thing in return. Detachment is the hardest and yet it gives us the space for something knew.

Time to detox and purify

Part of Detachment is to let go of products that you put in your mouth that are not good for you. In doing this you will be able to loosen up the neck and shoulders and clear the voice. Let's put
some fire in the digestion with some Ginger Tea
1 teaspoon of fresh diced ginger
1 teaspoon of raw honey
1/2 Lemmon
1 cup of hot water to steep.
I use 1 Tablespoon because I love it.

Add a green smoothie to detox.
1 C. Baby Spinach
1 C. Kale
1 Pear
1/2 orange juice
1 frozen banana ( freeze without skin)
Stay away from Dairy. Eat lots of vegetables .

The lid to the Heart

The 5th Chakra or energy point is the lid to the heart. The key to opening that lid is Faith.
Having Faith in divine will, and letting go of trying to control. Trusting a greater power in ones life is empowering. Life's challenges are gifts and opportunities to change old reactive behavioral patterns.

Commit To Detachment

This is it, look around what is happening to nature?  It is time to rest to let go of what no longer serves us.  Look at the trees letting go of their leaves, some leaves have hung on a little too long and they have withered on the branch, they missed the time when it was right to let go. Commit to detach so that you can make room for the new, to embrace the unknown, step into the magic and mystery of all possibilities.

The fifth chakra is located in the throat it resonates with our inner truth and helps us find a personal way to convey our voice to the outside world.
